Cajun cuisine originated in Louisiana and features African, French, Canadian, and Native American influences.
Chefs usually cook a Cajun meal in three pots, and a delicate blend of peppers adds flavor, not heat.
If you would like to give this delicious fare a try, visit one of these restaurants near our Uptown Dallas apartments where the dishes are prepared to perfection:
Dodie’s invites everyone to come and let the good times roll. The original location stands on Greenville Avenue and serves the best Cajun cuisine in Dallas. When two LSU grads decided to move to Dallas, Cajun Tailgators was born. They missed the food from home, and after watching the Great Food Truck Race, they became inspired to open a restaurant on wheels. Offerings include jambalaya, crawfish pasta, and roast beef po’boys.
