Do you want to enjoy a night of laughter? Then head to the Backdoor Comedy Club. Called the “hottest stand-up comedy showcase in the southwest” by the Dallas Observer, it welcomes eight or more comedians every night.
The lineup includes local pros and nationally touring acts. Those who take to the stage regularly include:
Johnny Elbow boasts that he looks more like a high school English teacher than a comedian. His acts are based on family life, and audiences are likely to recognize his use of fourteen-letter words instead of four-letter ones. He gained recognition on Last Comic Standing and has spent the last decade performing at clubs and private parties. Johnny’s voice is also heard on commercials and even in videogames. When he’s not touring, he calls Dallas home with his wife and two daughters.
Originally from the nation’s heartland, Joe Fox is known for delivering a clever style of intellectual and edgy comedy. He found his groove on stage here in Dallas and attributes his comedic foundation to the many misadventures he had as a child. Today, Joe performs across the country as well as for the American troops stationed in Japan and Africa.
Raj Sharma began his comedy career in Dallas in 2002 and has never looked back. Called “head-crushingly funny,” his hilarious acts are based on his daily observations and childhood stories. Raj’s style of humor is for all audiences. He performs around the world and has entertained with Tom Rhodes, Brian Regan, and other renowned comics.
