Newcomers to Dallas might be surprised to find that, in a bustling city like ours, it’s still easy to find and enjoy amazing parks and natural attractions. Across the metroplex, there are a variety of parks that can meet anyone’s interests. Here are a few of our favorite outdoor attractions in the city:
Kyle Warren Park
Klyde Warren Park is an urban park located right at The Union. There are always special events and occasions to keep a lookout for (including yummy food trucks). This park has a great atmosphere and a motivating feel.
Nasher Sculpture Center
The Nasher Sculpture Center is an excellent location for people who have an appreciation for art and would like to spend some time outside the home or office. This exhibit is always rotating their art pieces from other museums, private collections, and featured artists, so every visit could offer something new to enjoy.
Turtle Creek Park
Locals and frequent visitors to Turtle Creek Park describe it as truly peaceful. The park is well manicured and charming, and there are plenty of restaurants around, too. This all makes for a refreshing and revitalizing place to spend a day.
Dallas Arboretum & Botanical Gardens
Nationally Accredited, Dallas Arboretum & Botanical Gardens is a year-long beauty. The flower arrangements here are breathtaking. The bright colors and floral scents change as you stroll through the numerous gardens. There are even activities for kids, making it a family-friendly destination.
Harry S. Moss Park
Harry S. Moss Park provides a fun environment for mountain biking or a great nature walk. Harry S. Moss Park is located more or less in the middle of the city, allowing an easy outdoor escape for city dwellers. If you are looking to mountain bike here, the trail has been described as suitable for both beginners and more advanced cyclists.
